A Serge Benhayon quote – life-changing and ever-lasting

What can I possibly write about Serge Benhayon: how can I do justice to the ordinary extraordinariness he is and brings to everything and everyone?

I could say and would be absolutely true in stating that he is the world teacher for this era and part of the lineage of The Ageless Wisdom spanning from Hermes Trismegistus via Zoroaster, Pythagoras, da Vinci, to Helena Blavatsky, Alice A. Bailey (to name but a mere few) and for now culminating in Serge Isaac Benhayon.

I could say that his role and stature will be recognised and acknowledged after his passing, once the petty jealousies, squabbles, and the defence of one’s personal turf have all died down and eventually out… and that would be equally as true.

But what about some real life, practical and everyday stuff that has, demonstrably, a bearing on all of us and how we live life? Well, here we go:

About 12 years ago, when I first met Serge Benhayon, I used to have monthly hands-on Sacred Esoteric Healing sessions with him. It would have been about the fourth or fifth time when I noticed, being on the table and face down, that I was starting to feel what I could only describe as physical attraction towards him. It embarrassed me because I had never met a man who carried himself with such integrity, decency and respect towards all, and especially women. Never had there been any body posture, gesture, look or even single word that were, even in the slightest, insinuating or otherwise open or inviting of anything remotely untoward, disrespectful or imposing.

So here I was, feeling attracted to this man and extremely embarrassed about it. At the time I thought that Serge knew everything. Since then I have learnt that he knows what he needs to know in service and on behalf of humanity – no more, no less. Nevertheless, he feels and reads everything – just like the rest of us; only difference being that he has not shut this faculty down but honed it in service for aeons.

And thus, I told him what was happening. His short and courteous answer ended on, “…. it cannot touch me”.

Big huge wow on my behalf – whatever I do, say, think or hold as an intent cannot touch him? Does that mean I can do that too? I don’t have to be tossed about and around by life any longer, I am not the victim of anything and everything that comes towards me via people’s responses and reactions and the many life events, adverse and otherwise?

Yes, it does mean exactly that and later I would read the following Serge Benhayon quotes:

“Observe and not absorb.”

Serge Benhayon Esoteric & Exoteric Philosophy, ed 1, p 20

And:

“The key to true compassion is
to live like a fish in the sea and not get wet.”

Serge Benhayon Esoteric & Exoteric Philosophy, ed 1, p 103

That clearly meant that I did not need to take on other people’s stuff and that, if I did, it was actually harming – myself and them.

Many workshops and sessions later I had definitely kissed the insidious energy – of my misunderstood and misguided sympathy for others, my commiseration and the old habit of taking on people’s stuff – goodbye. My health and vitality have gone through the roof ever since.

I have also discovered that this ill-conceived sympathy, far from being supportive, merely ‘helps’ another to have a moment of relief but does not address the matter at hand; more often than not it can affirm if not set up a cycle of perceived helplessness and quasi-paralysis. And to top it all off, it can come with an air of arrogance that assumes another is not capable of dealing with what they have to deal with. Big ouch all around!

And thus, one of the many very practical aspects of The Way of The Livingness as taught by Serge Benhayon and Universal Medicine, The Ageless Wisdom for our times.

Over to you.

Working as an editor of Serge Benhayon’s as well as other books and material – when I am not at my ‘day job’ – is a huge and very rewarding part of the amazing way I now live thanks to The Way of The Livingness.
