Point of light is a song about how we as human beings can become affected by the rigors of life and disconnect from our true selves. When we lose ourselves in the pressures of life, in our hurts or past pain we have experienced, we can become stuck on a merry go round thinking that this is who we are. But that is not the truth. As the song says “There’s a spark inside your heart, that burns through all the pain, it brings you back to life, it lights your every way” – that spark is always there, an endless source of energy for us to come back to. When we re-connect to our spark, we re-connect to ourselves and to the beauty of life and the fact that we are all equal points of light, none any less or any more, that make up the whole.
