Esoteric Women's Health Newsletter March 2018

Welcome to our March newsletter. March 8 is International Women's Day, where across the world women of all ages, nationalities and walks of life reflect on what it means to be a woman in this world.

The theme for this International Woman's Day is #PressforProgress – so what is progress truly and how do we measure this? If we look at the statistics for women's health and the rates of illness and disease it would seem that all is not well – are we feeling vital every day, are we truly deeply caring for ourselves, are we truly making progress or are we perhaps not truly addressing the problem. Our feature article for this month by Dragana Brown explores this topic.

This month is also Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month – every year approximately 1,500 Australian women are diagnosed with ovarian cancer, most of them with an advanced stage of the disease, and every 10 hours a woman in Australia dies of ovarian cancer. What is truly going on with women's health and how are we living that we have these statistics? Read below for an article about this topic.

Also included in this newsletter are details of the Breast Cancer Care Retreats being held in Wollongbar (Northern NSW) on March 4 – retreats will also be held in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne later in the year. You may also like to Save the Date for the next Women in Livingness Workshop in Brisbane on Sunday 8th July 2018 presented by Esoteric Women's Health founder Natalie Benhayon – details to follow soon.

As always in our newsletter we aim to discuss issues that are relevant to women today, it is important that we have these conversations and explore what is truly going on for us as women. We are dedicated in offering services, events and products that provide the foundations of true lifestyles choices, which can support women to restore true health and well-being.

Please enjoy our newsletter,

With love,

By Dragana Brown

It would seem the world knows something needs to change for women – the 2018 theme for International Women's Day is #PressforProgress and we have global statistics  indicating 1 in 4 girls are depressed. But is it going to be the so-called world leaders making the difference for women? Or is it each and every woman herself who can bring this long overdue change?

In this feature, writer Dragana Brown powerfully delivers the statement that  "There is nothing in this world that is outside ourselves that can provide women with true power."   The clue  lies in the words  'outside ourselves'  and so, where indeed do we look?

“For no amount of money, no number of children, no fancy letters before or after your name, no red carpets, crowns, Oscars, no accolade, no diamonds, pearls & necklaces, no lipstick and nail varnish, no amount of anything external can satiate that which we are seeking and which only we can give to ourselves.”

Here we present articles  that offer a way forward for women to find true equality and true empowerment.

A real women's revolution is beckoning us forward

In our focus for equality for women, perhaps we have buried something very special that we each know exists within. Isn’t it time for a true women’s liberation movement – and that revolutionary shift starts with each of us.

“If we don’t stop and feel where we are at in our own lives and let go of any guilt or judgment on ourselves; if we don’t stop bowing down to societal pressures to be a certain way; if we don’t draw a line in the sand and say “this is my marker of Love and I will accept no less”; if we don’t begin to honour our bodies and pull back when it calls us to be more still; then we are setting our girls up in the next generation for a life of more disconnection than our own."

Girl Power, or the power of women at work

Girl power was all the rage in the 1990’s and early 2000's. The phrase “girl power” is used as a term of empowerment, independence, and self-sureness, but what came of girl power, and is there such a thing as true girl power? Or more so, the true power of women? Particularly when working together. Read how two women working together supported each other to bring out their true power.

"The relationship is a constant reminder of who we truly are, who the other is in truth, and how we as women can be together and support each other."

Ovarian cancer – what’s happening to women?

In Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month you can find out more about the lifestyle that can lead to ovarian cancer in this inspiring article.

"Every 10 hours a woman in Australia dies of ovarian cancer. And it is a known and proven fact that lifestyle is a significant contributor to the cause of ovarian cancer."

Sleep is part of our daily medicine

How much do we truly value the purpose of sleep? What if sleep is part of our daily medicine? And what if, given all the sleep problems we have in the world, our body knows best – and knows when and how to best go to sleep if we let it show us?

"Sleep is daily medicine, and, something that I would always have in my own ‘medicine cabinet’.
