Psychotherapist Jean Gamble speaks about Anxiety

Psychotherapist Jean Gamble speaks about anxiety and explains how she works with clients who present with anxiety that comes from traumatic experiences.

Jean explains how the fear of re-experiencing the past terror or hurt can hold us at ransom and these anxious feelings actually come from this fear of re-experiencing the past trauma. Jean suggests that it can be useful to support the client while they revisit the past experience – taking care that they do not become re-traumatised – so that they can begin to realise that these frightening feelings actually happened in the past and that they no longer have the power to hurt or destroy them.
