Exercise

Why do you exercise? To get into shape, be healthy, prevent disease, be strong, look good, stay fit, lose weight or to feel better?

What if…

The true purpose of exercise is to take some time to reconnect to ourself, and our body and develop a gentle and honouring way of moving, and to then take this way of moving into every moment of our day.

When we are living and moving in connection and with gentleness, it's possible to feel a light and joyful way of being with our body. Over time this develops a healthy and vital body, and even a body that feels harmonious and full of love. A body that we begin to cherish and adore, and in turn naturally want to deeply care for and exercise in a loving way.

If this was indeed the true purpose of exercise how does this understanding change the way we exercise? The answer may surprise you!
