Strawberry and avocado salsa
A fresh, tangy and summery salsa that will liven up and bring a zing to any fish or meat dish. Also delicious on crackers before or after a meal.

Ingredients
- 250g strawberries, hulled and chopped into cubes
- 1 large avocado, chopped into small cubes
- 3 spring onions, finely chopped
- ½ red chilli, medium strength, deseeded and finely chopped
- ½ juice of lime
- Pinch of ground black pepper
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- ½ cup fresh coriander leaves, finely chopped (optional)
Method
- Place all the ingredients in a bowl and gently mix.
Inspiration and top tips
- This fresh summery salsa is delicious as a topping for grilled fish or meat dishes, i.e. burger or try in a chicken wrap
- Swap the avocado for peeled and finely chopped cucumber or replace lime juice with lemon juice
- Try as a dip with crackers or corn chips to complement the beginning or end of a meal
