Living Religion: Knowing divinity through my body

How do I know that I am divine? I know that I am divine through my body – which previously I had never expected to be the pathway to divinity.

It is an experience of living in connection, a very distinct change to the sense of separation and isolation I used to exist with. Now I wake up in the morning feeling connected to the All – the sensation in my body is like a pulse answering to something much greater than just the little ME. This pulse I strongly notice in my heart area. It is pulling me forward and even upward. The feeling in my body is of sweetness and loveliness. My body enjoys moving around the house gently and treading lightly: it is gliding from one thing to the next knowing that everything is sacred and that every action is part of God’s Plan.

From the first moment of the day my thoughts are about the ‘bigger picture’ – considering the next step as part of my service to all of humanity.

I am listening into my body to recognise what is needed next. Any practical considerations about my personal life are focussed on how best to support myself and my body so I can widen and deepen my level of service for all.

I am very aware of how my body is responding to whatever I do:

  • the way I walk, the way I dress and shower myself
  • the foods I choose to eat and the effect that has on my body for the rest of the day
  • the music I might listen to and whether it supports the lightness in my body
  • increases my expansiveness and nourishes the deep sense of joy I am holding

In my communication with others I am allowing the love I have in my body to be expressed in the way I relate: there is a high level of consideration for the other, respecting their space as well as their choices and at the same time reflecting back the fullness I feel in my own body. Friends and family are appreciating my level of loyalty, commitment and all that with a good dose of playfulness.

How do my clients perceive me?

My clients comment on being greeted with warmth and presence. Listening to their issues I am very calm and non-judgemental, allowing space for them to share where they are at.

  • The clients perceive me as very relaxed because I am not pressured by any thoughts of having to change, rescue or save them.
  • They appreciate having the time and the space to re-discover their own connection to who they truly are.
  • My clients enjoy the harmony in our exchanges and the high level of compassion and understanding they are being held in.
  • There is a palpable sense of timelessness when I connect to deep wisdom and the knowing that I am ancient.

In recognising divinity in everyday life I am offering inspiration to my clients to open up and allow the mystical to enter their own life in a very tangible way.
